I just got back from Thunder Bay, Ontario working for Magnus Theatre, pretty big as it's my first professional design gig outside of my home city. I had a lot of fun, despite not really ever leaving the theatre (not that there is much to do in Northern Ontario). I was really proud of the show.
The show is wicked funny. The main pitfall is the set and transitions. There are 33 different scenes with a ton of different varied locations. We chose a simple set with modifiable elements. The set pieces you see in this photo, a door, a lamp, three ladders, four trunks were all we had. The scene changes were a bit manic. Our main problem was crew and the lack of supply of course that's a professional theatre issue (i.e. paying them) one you won't encounter in an education setting.
